Announcing the new "Views" feature on Polar Signals Cloud

Scope requests with pre-defined filters and gain precise control over your profiling data!

November 21, 2023

We've heard from customers who have said they would like to cut through the noise and only focus on profiling data for a particular service or app. The absence of a structured way to limit or scope profiling data can sometimes result in information overload, making it challenging for you to focus on the specific areas of interest within your software.

Enter the Views Feature. This feature empowers you to create custom "Views" that serve as filters, allowing you to zero in on data with specific labels or attributes. Now, you have the ability to tailor your profiling experience based on your unique needs.

Imagine wanting to focus solely on data labeled with `container="storage"`. With the Views Feature, you can effortlessly create a filter that narrows down your profiling data to the elements that matter most to you. Whether you're interested in app servers, databases, Kubernetes nodes, or other specific aspects of your software, Views offer a more organized and granular approach to analysis.

How to Get Started

Using the Views Feature is simple and intuitive. Head to your dashboard, and navigate to the New View button by hovering over your active project .
