Role Overview
We are seeking our first Solutions Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in our growth journey. You will work closely with our sales and engineering teams to understand customer needs, demonstrate the value of Polar Signals solutions, and provide technical expertise throughout the sales process. Your deep understanding of observability and monitoring technologies, combined with your ability to communicate complex concepts to a variety of audiences, will be key to our success.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify business opportunities.
- Provide technical presentations and demonstrations of Polar Signals solutions to prospective customers.
- Understand customer requirements and challenges, and articulate how Polar Signals can address their needs.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of proposals and quotes.
- Serve as a liaison between the sales and engineering teams, ensuring customer requirements are accurately understood and met.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and product developments.
- Work with engineering to improve docs, contribute to the knowledge base, and write blog posts.
- Participate in conferences, shows, and other networking events to promote Polar Signals.
Qualifications
- Prior professional experience working in pre-sales, engineering, or technical customer-facing roles.
- Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, and performance management solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical features into business benefits.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, Kubernetes, Prometheus, and open-source software.
- Self-motivated, with a strong desire to learn and grow.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend events.
