As long-time maintainers of Parca, Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Thanos we are looking forward to finally meeting the community again in person at this very unique event!
Throughout the weekend of FOSDEM on Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th, you can reach out to Matthias, Javier, Vaishali and Kemal on Twitter, Mastodon or CNCF Slack. Say hi to them and ask them for some stickers (they have plenty for everyone)!
Javier and Vaishali are giving two talks this year:
Stack walking/unwinding without frame pointers
In the Binary Tools Devroom, AW1.126
On Sunday, February 5th, 10:40 - 11:10
Walking native stacks in BPF without frame pointers
In the Kernel Devroom, UA2.220 (Guillissen)
On Sunday, February 5th, 12:00 - 12:25
Both on stack walking, but focusing on different areas.
Everything Javier and Vaishali are talking about is either in the works, or already available in the open-source (Apache2 licensed) Parca Agent project, under the Parca umbrella project. While there has been a lot of development since, if you're interested in a partial write-up of what will be in the talks, you can check out the blog post on DWARF-based Stack Walking Using eBPF.
Give it a spin and let us know any feedback on the community Discord server!
Let's get in touch!
Feel free to reach out to Matthias, Javier, Vaishali and Kemal on Twitter, Mastodon or CNCF Slack.
See you in Brussels and make sure to enjoy a Belgian waffle!
